Red, White, and Blue Sangria: 4th of July Recipe

It’s getting hot outside and come July fourth we all know how steamy it will be. Why not cool down with a nice, refreshing Sangria…Red, White, and Blue Sangria that is. This patriotic drink brimming with delicious fruit is essential for any Independence Day party!

Want to make it for your 4th of July celebration? Here's how:

Ingredients:

strawberries (sliced)

blueberries

star fruit or substitute pineapple (feeling creative? Slice star shaped)

2 bottles of dry white wine

1 c. triple sec

½ c. berry-flavored vodka

½ c. fresh lemon juice

½ c. simple syrup

 Directions:

Combine all ingredients into a large pitcher. Mix together, chill for at least four hours (if you want the full flavor blast leave it in over night), and serve!

In the mood for a virgin? No worries! Just substitute the white wine for white grape juice, orange juice for triple sec, and take out that vodka and add a little cranberry juice. Compliments of diyready.com.

There is no better time to try this Red, White, and Blue Sangria because, lucky for us, the fourth happens to be on a Saturday…can you say no work in the morning! Let’s party like it’s 1776!
